I’m not requiring that you know how to calculate the force of gravity. I’m not requiring that you study Newton’s laws. I’m requiring that you know how to ask questions to inquire about to flow of information that’s ready to enter your head, and affect what kind of decisions you’ll make about your own life. Why is it that every newspaper article that describes an eclipse says, “rare eclipse in China”? Rare? Eclipses happen every two and a half years! Were you paying attention the last time? Apparently not. You don’t say, “rare Olympics coming up”. And Olympics are rarer than solar eclipses. In the end, it comes down to how plugged in are you? What is the wiring of your brain as information lands upon it?
